Equi-soccer and Harmony Horsemanship

Can horses really play soccer? Yes they can! People love to play soccer and our equine friends love to play it too!

Paulette Stelpflug and Teddy Schlueter of Harmony Horsemanship LLC bring a unique brand of horse play to the 2010 Midwest Horse Fair® in the form of Equi-soccer. This fun-filled, fast-paced sport is fun for both horses and their humans. Equi-soccer can be played by virtually any horse (once it has been properly introduced to the activity) and by riders of all ages and skill levels. Equi-soccer is an excellent way to provide exercise in a fun and entertaining way along with building confidence in your horse. Equi-soccer can be played for leisure, relaxation and reward, or it can be very competitive. A form of Equi-soccer can even be played from the ground by those folks who want to strengthen their relationship with their horse, mule, or donkey without actually riding.

Paulette and Teddy have been playing Equi-soccer for over seven years as part of their Harmony Horsemanship training program at Freedom Stables in Deerfield, Wis. Their motto is: “It’s all about the horse.” They will share how they safely introduce horses to the big ball and explain the rules of the game. Members of the Harmony Horsemanship team ranging in age from 12 to over 50 will present an exhibition match with their horses.

Come learn about Equi-soccer, a hot new game that is gaining worldwide attention. Play soccer with your horse and have a ball!
