Fantastic Friday at Midwest Horse Fair

Friday, April 16 is now Midwest Horse Fair history. It was a day of record attendance with 17,000 people coming through the gates of the Alliant Energy Center. The first preliminary round of the Wind Rider Challenge was held with two finalists named. The second round will take place on Saturday. The Youth Judging Competition was held in the Nutrena Arena for the educational experience of all who participated and watched. Big Jake, the World’s Tallest Living Horse, drew a crowd in the Kids Korral and was honored with a plaque during his appearance in the John Deere Coliseum. The Barnes PRCA Rodeo was a sell-out event on Friday evening, with Texas Thunder rumbling into the Coliseum for an appearance. In addition to all these special events, there were clinicians teaching, breed and discipline demonstrations, liberty presentations, stallion revues, shopping opportunities and horses, horses and more horses.
