Wild to Mild in 90 Days!

The Midwest Horse Fair Mustang Challenge is a competition of Legendary proportions designed to spotlight the all American Mustang. The wild Mustangs will be matched with qualified equine trainers who will allow the horse's natural abilities to shine through. Preliminary classes take place on Friday and Saturday with the finals held during the Saturday evening show, Legendary Night. Through this competition 50 wild Mustangs will find the fortune of a promising future in a qualified and caring home.

The Competition

In correlation with the Mustang Heritage Foundation and the Bureau of Land Management, the illustrious Mustang Challenge will be featured at the 2019 Midwest Horse Fair.

The competition will award a wild Mustang to 50 qualified competitors. Those competitors have 90 days to gentle, train and gain the trust of their new equine partner.

Preliminary classes at Midwest Horse Fair take place Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, 2019 to determine the top 10 finalists. The 10 competitors with the highest combined preliminary scores will advance to the finals during the Saturday evening show, Legendary Night, where they will debut a unique choreographed freestyle performance and ultimately compete for $20,000 in prizes!
