Peak Traffic Times

Midwest Horse Fair experiences extremely heavy traffic on Friday and Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. If you are looking to avoid the line at ticket booths we recommend you consider arriving on the grounds before or after the peak traffic time mentioned above.

Saturday Park & Ride Option

Midwest Horse Fair and Alliant Energy Center are proud to present Park & Ride option on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Avoid the Saturday fair traffic at and surrounding the Midwest Horse Fair by parking at Ahuska Park for FREE. We have arranged for Badger Bus service to run every 15 minutes to and from the park on Saturday from 7:00 am - 11:00 pm. Look for the Midwest Horse Fair blue parking signs and take advantage of this convenient service.

Please note Saturday Parking Plan:

Due to the volume of attendees on Saturday, additional external parking lots are utilized to accommodate guests. Starting at 9:00 a.m. the Department of Transportation and local Sheriffs will be diverting parking to external lots to avoid traffic back ups on the belt line. External lots will be utilized until full and shuttle buses will circle these lots to offer free rides to the Alliant Energy Center. Once external lots are full, parking on the Alliant Energy Center grounds will resume.

If you wish to park on the Alliant Energy Center grounds on Saturday, we recommend you arrive before 9:00 a.m. on or after 10:00 a.m. or leverage the Park & Ride option.

Will Call Booth

The will call booth is located after the Olin Avenue entrance gate.
