Midwest Horse Fair will not be placing any additional restrictions for Covid-19, beyond what city, county, state and/or federal regulations are in place at the time of the event.

Currently, Dane county has issued an Emergency Order in effect until January 3, 2022 requiring a face covering indoors for any person two and older.

There is no vaccine requirement for general admission to the Midwest Horse Fair

Attendees are asked to watch for symptoms of Covid-19 and to stay home if feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms. Those who have come in contact with a known positive Covid-19 case within 14 days of the event should not attend.

Attendees are encouraged to follow the recommendations of the CDC and Public Health Madison & Dane County, to wash hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, wear a face covering and limit direct contact with others, maintaining six feet of distance when possible.

Evening Shows

For events in the Coliseum, which are a separate ticket and assigned seating, such as the Friday & Saturday PRCA Rodeo, Dane County currently has implemented a regulation requiring either proof of a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours or proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

The Facility

Alliant Energy Center is dedicated to the health and safety to visitors and has recently installed an ionization system designed to remove viruses, like the strains responsible for COVID-19, from the air. The venue has also been given Global Bio-risk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ facility accreditation for its infectious diseases preparation and response. To further enhance safety the venue has also implemented an initiative known as their Clean Slate Program
