Job Descriptions

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Midwest Horse Fair. 

By volunteering your time, you can earn FREE admission to the Midwest Horse Fair! There is a minimum of one (3)-hour shift per person. One (3)-hour shift results in a free one-day wristband ($20 value) for the day you volunteer. Three (3)-hour shifts results in a free weekend wristband ($45 value).

A Release of Liability Form must be signed in exchange for a wristband. Minors must have a parent or guardian sign onsite before they are given a wristband. 

Please read the Volunteer Job Descriptions before applying. Job and time preferences are taken into consideration but are not guaranteed.  Please be advised that assigned jobs may change onsite as needed at the discretion of Midwest Horse Fair.

Volunteers must be 14 years of age or older as of April 13, 2023.

Our primary form of communication will be through e-mail, PLEASE CAREFULLY DOUBLE CHECK each character submitted to ensure your information can be sent. If mail is required please contact us at 920-623-5515 or horses@midwesthorsefair.com. Job assignments will be emailed by end of day Friday, March 24, 2023.

NOTE: Due to a limited number of camping sites, camping qualifications for volunteers is required. As an equine event, Midwest Horse Fair has a commitment to looking out for the safety and care of animals onsite as a first priority. This includes providing  people with horses onsite the option to camp which allows them to provide around the clock care and monitoring of their animals. It is with the safety and concern for these animals that we now require volunteers wishing to camp to have two of their three shifts scheduled on separate days Friday - Sunday.  We strongly recommend making your camping reservations right away when the camping application becomes available in October. Refunds are given if reservation is canceled prior to January 1, 2023.


Prize Drawing:

On April 16 (first day of fair) we will hold a random drawing for all Volunteers!  The prizes will include four $25 Blain's Farm & Fleet Gift Cards.
 
The drawing for prizes will be held Friday, April 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. and the names of all winners will be posted at the Welcome Center.  Winners must pick up their prizes, in person, from the Welcome Center and all MHF Gift Shop Certificates must be used during the fair.  Winners must fulfill their shift commitments to be eligible for prizes.
