Best of America by Horseback TV Show Host | Trail Riding & Camping

Del has been a horseman at heart his entire life. His horsemanship journey began shortly after marrying in his early twenties when he joined his wife's family in ranching and farming. His affection for the Western lifestyle, along with its music and lore, set the stage for a unique opportunity: he was invited to sing on a horseback trail-riding show on RFD TV. Soon, he became the featured cowboy singer and co-host of the show, a role he held for seventeen years before taking over as producer and host. His wife, Shevawn, co-hosts the show with him, and together they recently celebrated twenty years of programming and traveling the country with Best of America by Horseback, known as America’s premier trail-riding show.
He and Shevawn live on a small ranch near Humboldt, Kansas, and have a large, close-knit family, with five children and twelve grandchildren. His trail-riding adventures have taken him across the United States and beyond, including a 2009 journey as trail boss on a Mexico-to-Canada ride. Since 1997, he has also been active in ministry within the Church of Christ and finds great joy in connecting with remarkable people along his travels.
