Competitive Driving
Joe Yoder grew up on an Amish family farm, where training horses was a daily way of life and the foundation of his lifelong passion for driving. Based in Wisconsin, Joe continues to train horses while also working in post-frame construction sales, maintaining a strong connection to both the equine and agricultural communities.
Joe has shown carriage horses—both pairs and four-in-hand—across the United States and Europe, proudly representing the U.S. in international Combined Driving competition. His experience spans everything from foundational training to the precision, power, and teamwork required at the highest levels of the sport.
Teaching has become one of Joe’s greatest joys, offering him the opportunity to share the knowledge, skills, and experiences he has gained throughout his career. His calm approach, deep horsemanship, and commitment to helping drivers succeed make him a valued and returning clinician at the Midwest Horse Fair.
