Gaited Horsemanship
We’re excited to welcome Carl Bledsoe to Midwest Horse Fair to share his approach to gaited horsemanship!
Based in Talking Rock, Georgia, Carl is a classical horsemanship trainer who has spent years helping riders better understand their horses. He and his wife, Tammy, travel throughout the U.S. and Canada teaching clinics that focus on balance, biomechanics, and a true connection between horse and rider.
Named the 2022
Humane Horseman of the Year, Carl is especially passionate about the welfare
and correct training of gaited horses. His goal is to help riders recognize a
balanced gait, develop their horse’s abilities thoughtfully, and build a
partnership that lasts. His guiding question says it all: “What’s in it for the
horse?”
