Accommodations

If you require an accommodation or service (i.e., ASL, Open Captioning, Audio Description, etc.) please contact Midwest Horse Fair at 920.623.5515 or info@midwesthorsefair.com at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event day.

Strollers are not available for rental on the grounds.

Wheelchairs and other mobility devices may be rented through Madison Medical Rental (608-628-6312).  Reservations must be made 2-3 days in advance.  


Kids Korral

Activities For Children

Kids Korral is located in the front of Pavilion One. You'll find educational experiences, hands-on activities and basic skills to take care of a horse!

Pony rides and carriage rides are offered in the Outside Mall for a small fee. Carriage rides pick up at the front northeast corner of Exhibition Hall and Pony rides are located in the tent in front of Pavilion one.

In addition, check out the Breed & Discipline Demonstrations for a full array of history and education about each breed.


Dog

Dogs & Pets

Dogs are allowed in certain areas of the Alliant Energy Center grounds, but must be leashed at all times. Dogs will not be permitted in the Exhibition Hall or the Coliseum, with the exception of service animals, as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act.

For the safety of your pet, please do not bring animals and leave them in your car unattended. If any pet is reported in a vehicle, authorities will be called.


Shooting

Firearms

Per county ordinance, no firearms or weapons are permitted on the property.

Violators are subject to forfeiture or arrest.

Stop by the Information Booths, located in the Coliseum West Entrance Lobby,  lobby of Pavilion One, the Welcome Center located in Pavilion Two, and the Information booth in Exhibition Hall Lobby A.

Lost & Found

Lost & Found

Lose something during the Midwest Horse Fair? If it is during MHF show hours, visit the Lost & Found located at the Show Office which is located in the Lobby of Exhibition Hall.

If it is after the Midwest Horse Fair, call the Alliant Energy Center at 608.267.3980 to see if your items have been found! Alternatively, you may complete the Alliant Energy Center Lost & Found Form online.


personal vehicles

Personal Vehicles

Personal utility vehicles are not available for rental on the grounds.

Due to liability and safety concerns, as well as established sponsorship agreements, the use of personal utility vehicles or golf carts are prohibited on the grounds.


4h tack sale

Selling Information

Used Equipment 

For those looking for the opportunity to clean out the barn, let the Wisconsin 4-H Association sell your tack while you enjoy the Midwest Horse Fair. 

For a $10 donation (per number) to the Wisconsin 4-H Horse Association, you will receive a consignment number and supplies needed to tag/price up to 23 items. 

The Wisconsin 4-H Horse Association will receive a 15 percent commission on all items sold. 

Any equine related item can be consigned as long as it can be brought into the lower level of the coliseum. 

The Wisconsin 4-H Association reserves the right to refuse items that are not clean or items that are not equine related. Items consigned that have not sold, can be retrieved during pick-up hours.

Animal Sales

The sale of any equine on the grounds is strictly prohibited. 

Advertising horses for sale anywhere on the grounds is also forbidden.

Solicitation

Midwest Horse Fair does not allow soliciting of our exhibitors, attendees, participants, contracted personnel, staff, MHF Advisory Board and Wisconsin Horse Council during the event.

Any reports of verbal or written solicitation will lead to an investigation which may result in removal from the grounds and banning any participating parties from attending a future Midwest Horse Fair.


Video & Photography

Video & Photography

All attendees at the Midwest Horse Fair should be aware that there are “official photographers and videographers” on the grounds during the entire event. 

With your entrance to the grounds, you are giving permission for the Wisconsin Horse Council and Midwest Horse Fair to use any pictures or videos in which you might appear for future publicity, promotion, advertising, or other media uses related to the Midwest Horse Fair.

You may take photos and video at the Fair for your own personal use, and we encourage you to do so, but selling them for a profit is strictly prohibited.
