16 year old Andalusian Stallion Maximo’s black color is rare for an Andalusian as the majority of this breed are grays. Maximo is homozygous black and carries the genetic gene to pass along his color to his offspring.
Maximo was bred in Streeter Illinois by Rothrock Andalusians and is a son to the multiple national champion Fandango Del Sol.
Maximo stands at stud at Equestrian Events in Maple Park Illinois, about 45 minutes west of Chicago.
RA Maximo is THE barn favorite. His gentle disposition, his impressive manners and his exquisite talent make him an absolute pleasure to be around and to ride. He is our go to guy fo exhibitions, parades, competitions, movies, live performances, you name it, he’s done it.
Maximo has won multiple National Championships including best movement for piaffe and spanish walk, as well as champion in Working Equitation and Doma Vaquera. Maximo is also competing here at the horse fair in the Working Equitation Challenge so be sure to check the schedule and come cheer him on!
Maximo also competes in recognized dressage shows and is currently competing at the FEI Intermediate Level. Maximo is currently schooling the Grand Prix and will be making his Grand Prix debut this summer. This horse’s compact and correct confirmation make him the perfect candidate for the upper level movements of piaffe and passage. He excels at collection and alta escuela maneuvers.
