Sam and Kellie Rettinger from Kingsville, Ohio are the proud owners of Whispery Pines Percherons — home to nine magnificent black Percheron geldings. Whispery Pines is a true working farm, deeply involved in fair competitions, expositions, horse shows, logging, and special event transportation such as weddings, funerals, parades, and sleigh rides.
At the heart of everything Sam and Kellie do is a love for sharing their horses with the world. Education is a key pillar of their mission — they strive to inspire, entertain, and connect people with the beauty and versatility of the Percheron breed. Through their performances, they invite audiences to learn about teamwork, trust, and the powerful yet gentle spirit of these remarkable draft horses, as well as horses in general.
Sam and Kellie bring this vision to life through costuming, performance, and creative staging. Their breathtaking acts feature Roman riding, chariot races, and vibrant, themed presentations that captivate crowds — from Wonder Woman-inspired sets to Sam’s precision driving of their six-horse hitch, which light up every crowd.
